George Gregor visited us at our Thursday luncheon meeting and gave us some very interesting facts and fun stories about "America's favorite Pastime." George is the author of seven books all about baseball and is currently working on his eighth. He was very gracious in presenting each of us with an autographed copy of "A Ride on the Mendoza Line." Other books authored by George are Those Amazin' Mets...From Worse to Verse, The Chicago Cubs...and Moe, The BoSox of Beantown, From Coogan's Bluff to Baseball by the Bay...They Were Giants! and DID YOU KNOW: The Firsts and Onlys and Assorted Factoids.
