“Remember not getting what you want is sometimes
a wonderful stroke of luck”…Confucius
Last week we had a representative from the NJ Lottery speak to us and this week we are having a trivia contest called NORTH AND SOUTH, which
leads to the topic of the week LUCK! Is there such a thing as luck?
Are some of us naturally lucky or unlucky? Can the odds of winning the
lottery or a sweepstakes OR EVEN our weekly 50/50 be improved?
Perhaps the secret is patience, persistence and an all around positive attitude.
According to Richard Wiseman, author of the book THE LUCK FACTOR,
if you want to improve your luck, you need to:
- Maximize your chances…buy more tickets, enter as often as you can.
- Listen to your instincts …a lucky hunch. Intuition is the result of clues your subconscious has put together.
- Expect to be lucky …expect to win. If you never think you will win, why bother to play in the first place. Positive attitude is key!
- Look on the Bright Side. Even if you didn’t win the daily number today, maybe it will be a bigger prize tomorrow.
I wish everybody good luck in today’s trivia contest.
